Special cement tiles

Special cement tiles for demanding projects

When a project calls for something different, special cement tiles stand out for their ability to transform interiors and exteriors. Imagine a tiled dado with a decorative border, or a custom cement tile rug in an entrance hall: that is where you can see how details such as edgings, made-to-measure pieces or mixed compositions turn an ordinary space into a memorable one.

In bathrooms, these special pieces make it possible to introduce floral motifs, stars or asymmetric compositions that harmonise with rectangular or square floor tiles. Outdoors, they are used for decorative frames or transitions between floors. The key: design that adapts to the scale and function of the space.

Design, customisation and format in special cement tiles

Special cement tiles are not limited to a standard size. They can be made up of mixed pieces (square, hexagonal, rhomboid), feature ornate frames or have complementary textures. At Demosaica we combine unusual formats, offer colour customisation and use exclusive moulds to create compositions that are never repeated.

The level of detail is higher: calibrated joints, clean edges, and patterns that are centred or broken up depending on the space. All with traditional cement tile materials, quality pigments and a professional finish.

Maintenance of special cement tiles

As these special pieces usually draw the eye and invite closer inspection (dados, frames, ornamental borders), they need careful maintenance. After laying, it is essential to apply a sealer, clean gently with pH-neutral products and avoid abrasive or acidic detergents. Ornamental pieces, with their grooves or carvings, can collect dust more easily, so regular cleaning without hard scrubbing is key.

Special cement tiles at Demosaica: why choose them

At Demosaica, our range of special cement tiles is designed for projects that seek exclusivity. We offer unique models, custom design consultations, help with visual composition, and samples to check colour and texture. Handmade quality is maintained throughout, which means traditional pigmentation, handmade moulds, and careful control of thickness and finish to ensure long-lasting aesthetic and functional performance.

In addition, special stock (when available) shortens lead times, and the online visual simulator helps you see how the special piece will look in your space, with no surprises.

Special cement tiles are the most creative expression of cement tiles. They are not just a variation in format, but a decorative resource that offers personality, detail and distinction. With Demosaica, every special project has the backing of craftsmanship, quality and customisation, and the chance to bring to life ideas that call for something different.
